House Proud, Epilouge

Mothers Day tulips from Adelaide.

I want to echo exactly what Donna says here, and say thank you to all of you lovely people who shared a glimpe (or more!) of your gorgeous retro/vintage filled interiors with us in our "Show Us a Retro/Vintage Corner of Your Home" linky.

Very first lemons from our Myer - it's loaded!

We were so lucky to have the privilege and pleasure of looking at thirty-four (and counting!) retro and vintage filled homes. Not one of them the same, but all of them charming and interesting.

Sticking your hand up to host a linky thingy is a bit like waiting for your name to be  picked for 'a side' in sport at school...thanks for not leaving us out there on our own - we would've felt like big dorks if you hadn't joined in. Sighs of relief from us.

Shining the light on some ouchflower loveliness.

Thanks to everyone who has taken the time to check out our awesome linkers (don't forget to pop back - here, to check out any you might have missed) and special thanks to Donna, my partner in crime (and the brains behind the operation). You're the bomb dude!

Another first round here, a rubbish bin inside (we're getting fancy!). Old BP drum: garage sale, new zinc lid: Bunnings.

Ok, that's it. Thank you, and goodnight!

x

  3. Love your rubbish bin - we use supermarket plastic bags and take them outside to the big wheelie bin - although we do have a fancy pancy pedal bin - it went outside about a year ago to be jetwashed and never made it back inside...I blame Himself, the Lord and master of the House, who volunteered for the job and never quite finished it. Yes, maybe it's time to do it myself. :)

  5. Ooh, some shots of your house I haven't seen before. Doesn't Queenie look lovely in your hallway above that rather delightful table? That old BP drum as a bin is inspired. I never used to have one either, but in this house I've given in. I am really looking forward to doing some house tours, I have had so many visitors and I need to repay the compliment, just need to make some time. I am sure they are all fabulous. Well done to you and Donna for making it so easy and so much fun to take part. xxx

Always a pleasure to work with you Kylie - I'd pick you on my team any day of the week. And so true - wouldn't have been much of a link up with knock out participants - we were very lucky so many great people joined in.

  10. Do like the outside bin inside, sometimes just reworking something's assumed position in the house can look great. x

  19. Late to comment BUT thank you again to you and Donna for hostessing. I really do enjoy the parties and your themes suit me. It is the right size where I can go and see what everyone is up to. Plus we are all of one mind, which is what makes it so special. Thanks again and appreciate very much your teamwork and the hard work that goes in to pulling this off.
