I love the white easter bonnet in the front row! On a grwon woman. They were much braver sartorially back then wren't they! It always annoys me how small hats in op-shops are. It's like only people with small heads dontate to op-shops or something? However when you look at that picture you notice the hats are just perched, not pulled down. Hence the need for hat pins presumably... Anyhow cup day aye? Hope you had a flutter and won big! x
Oh heck they all look so damn marvelous! I want to wear hats more damned often... nowadays everyone is just walking around with plain old heads. =p ahhaah
The red 'paperboy' style cap towards the back left and the other pink clad lady in the front row - the one not smoking, with the black necklace. So swish, both of them.
And notice how on-trend all the sunglasses are, in terms of today's fashions! Amazing. And the cats eye glasses too. Blinking marvellous.
Oh I could stare at this photo for ages, picking out things. :)
Also, Kylie - the tapestries you sent me have arrived. They are utterly delicious and I cannot wait to get stuck in and start making things with them.
What a gem of a photo. So much social comment. It doesn't seem like that long ago but so much has changed. There are a lot of ladies gloveless or clutching gloves. Everyone so groomed and following the social norms. I miss the days when women didn't show bra straps or knickers for all to see.

Ha ha. The woman in pink is hilarious. Is she exhaling? What a character. The poor lady behind her.
